Mr. Levitt is from North Lindenhurst, New York - on Long Island. He began studying drums while still in elementary school. Eventually, he went to the University of North Texas to study percussion as a music education major. After North Texas, Mr. Levitt obtained his bachelor's and master's degrees from CUNY Queens College in Flushing, NY. In 2005-2006, Mr. Levitt lived in Saitama Prefecture, Japan where he worked as an Assistant Language Teacher at two high schools. During that year, Mr. Levitt visited many areas of Japan, including Hokkaido and Nara.
In addition to teaching, Mr. Levitt works as a single engagement musician in and around the Greater New York Area.
Mr. Levitt has a German Shepherd Dog named Harpo and a Chow/Labrador Mix named Little Chino.
